POWER OF PRAYER

By now we are all aware of the devastation that has taken place in Haiti. As a body we have contributed financially to this worthwhile cause and we have (undoubtedly) contributed in some way to the relief efforts of the Red Cross or other organizations. Some of us have taken on the special calling of missionary work by becoming a part of various teams that have traveled there to assist with rescue assignments.

If you feel at a loss or need to find some other avenue of which to be of help, don't forget that God has afforded us the use of a resource that produces results everytime. We can commit to spending quality time talking to God in an effort to intercede on their behalf. This means that we can petition God for the restoration and peace that only He can provide.

Let us make a unified effort to use the power of prayer to bring about change and rearrange things. Remember that this power lies within each of us!

  1. Pastor OJ was right on target last night at Deliverance Service. He talked about the fact that "Here we are weeks later...and they are still finding people alive who were trapped beneath all the debris. Who else but God could sustain somebody for weeks without food or water?" It's for sure that the prayers of the righteous are being answered!

  2. The company I work for stepped up and match dollar for dollar whatever the employees gave. That was a blessing! Prayer is our power source when we do not know what else we can do to help others.

  3. You're right, Jessica. In addition to that, we add being baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and God will give us clear direction and peace in all situations. So many people are fearful of this power and fail to take advantage of the opportunity to be fully armed.

  4. Haiti was blessed on Sunday and so was the Faith Diamond Family. You reach us Ms. Toi, young and not so young! What an anointing on our Youth Pastor!! A double portion... like father like son!! Long live the legacy of Trinity Baptist Church, The Faith Diamond. None can compare. To God be the Glory for the things He has done!!! Amen.

  5. Thank you for your kind words regarding Sunday's program. Trinity is to be commended for the wonderful way that they always respond to requests made by the Pastors. For those who were not able to witness or be a part of the occasion, you missed a tremendous spirit of sacrificial giving! Thank you, Trinity, for being the people of God that you are!!!!!!
